SkillBridge at Showcase Systems
Your last months in uniform can be your first months in software. We train transitioning service members on real products, with a named mentor and a plan your command can sign.
Contact usWhat SkillBridge is
SkillBridge is the Department of War program that lets service members spend up to their final 180 days of service in civilian job training with an industry partner, while keeping their military pay and benefits. Eligibility is set by the program and by your commander; the official details live at skillbridge.osd.mil.
Showcase Systems is working with the SkillBridge program office to become an authorized industry partner. If you are planning your transition and software is where you want to land, reach out now and we will keep you posted as our program stands up.
What you would work on
Production software engineering
Ship features on Quilt Showcase, a live Django platform with real users, real payments, and real deadlines. Your commits go to production.
AI consulting delivery
Work alongside us on client engagements: discovery, scoped builds, and the measurement that proves the work mattered.
Platform operations
CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, monitoring, and the infrastructure discipline that keeps products running.
How the internship runs
Every intern gets a named mentor, a written training plan agreed with your command before you start, and a weekly one-on-one that is never skipped. The goal is concrete: by the end of the program you have shipped work you can point to in an interview, and we have a candidate we already know we trust.
We are a small team, which cuts both ways in your favor. There is no intern track of busywork to hide in, and there is no layer between you and the people who own the product.
